Employment law tribunals

There are several key elements contained within employment law processes. Lodging grievances, meeting with your employer and using official complaints procedures are just a few. The final element in the chain is the employment tribunal which is where, if all else has failed, your claim will end up.

It is important to understand the place of the tribunal in the UK courts system, to understand its seriousness and to appreciate the results of taking your claim there. These pages briefly explain tribunals but remember: if your case is going to a tribunal the advice and support of an employment solicitor is essential.
