Dispute law FAQs

Dispute law is not a traditional area of law, like family law, or employment law. However, it contains elements that almost all areas of law will include, and as such is worthy of its own section.

If you are going through a divorce you will need a family solicitor, but you might well be looking to mediate first to make the process easier. If you are going through a dismissal process, you may need to agree on a settlement with your employer.

Accompanying these factors, with alternative dispute resolution a key ingredient, dispute law can include defamation, litigation (both civil and commercial), public law and professional negligence.

It is usually a fairly serious set of circumstances, with winners and losers. Having the right kind of representation is therefore key. If you think you need a solicitor, please give us a call on the number at the top of the page and we will be able to find a firm in your local area for you which suits your needs.
