Information on the Coroner's Court

 

Most people will not have contact with the Coroner’s Court in their life, but if you do, it can be a difficult and stressful experience. A lot of the distress can come from not knowing what is going to happen in court. In this section we have set out some information about the court to demystify it.

You may have contact with the coroner’s court for a number of reasons: you may be a witness that the coroner calls to their court to give evidence about a death, or you may be summoned to sit on a coroner’s jury.
